National Writing Project

The Bay Area Writing Project offers a variety of courses and programs for educators. These programs are perfect for teachers, administrators, coaches, coordinators, student teachers and anyone interested in the teaching of writing.

National research studies have confirmed significant gains in writing performance among students of teachers who have participated in NWP programs. These are programs that are open to all interested educators. Join us!

Invitational Summer Institute

The Invitational Summer Institute (ISI) is a summer fellowship opportunity to develop your classroom practice and become a teacher leader. Graduates become BAWP Teacher Consultants. Consider applying to our next cohort.

Programs for BAWP Teacher Consultants

Once a teacher fellow graduates from the Invitational Summer Institute, we work hard to ensure they continually have access to high quality PD opportunities through their association with us. Our goal is to develop a leadership cadre of local teachers.
